Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a CPM Scheduler 3 for a contract opportunity in Pascagoula, MS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Apprentice School graduate, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years of shipbuilding, related military, manufacturing, or production operations experience OR 6 years experience as the Prod Plng and Scheduler; OR 6 years of testing/production management experience (e.g. Foreman) OR 13 years experience in manufacturing, production operations or related military service (inclusive of 4 years supervisory/leadership experience or Planning/Production Control/Naval systems specialized training experience) and possess a well-founded knowledge of production operations, production processes, ship systems, and planning methods and schedules and/or plant maintenance activities. A combination of education and related experience can be used in lieu of degree.
  • Experience using scheduling software (preferably Primavera).
  • A working knowledge of Critical Path Management (CPM)
  • An understanding of Shipbuilding or construction sequencing
  • An understanding of resourcing loading in a scheduling environment
  • Understand IMP/IMS development and maintenance
  • Understanding of Critical Path Analysis

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives. Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing and quality. Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient with Primavera software or Other CPM software.
  • Scheduling experience in an industrial environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Accredited High school diploma or equivalent.

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time 5/40, workweek.
