Forklift Operator

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for moving raw and finished goods throughout the warehouse and case picking. This position requires stand-up (not sitting) deep reach forklift experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process customer orders with stand-up deep reach forklift.

• Pick and stage products in inventory based on product and prevents damage to products. 

• Load and unload trucks.

• Maintain warehouse housekeeping.

• Maintain a safe work environment, following company policy and procedures.

Machinery:

• Stand-up deep reach forklift

Physical Requirements: (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about facility. 

• Must lift 40 pounds independently. 

Work Environment:

• Temperature: Freezer areas are zero degrees or colder. The production floor is maintained at approximately 4O F.; in other areas, the temperature level is moderate.

• Noise: When the incumbent goes on to the production floor, ear protection is required; in other areas, noise level is moderate.

Work Hours:

This position works five 8-hour shifts, subject to overtime as needed. Overtime is done both before and after shifts as well as Saturdays.

• Shift #2 (night shift)

o Days worked: Monday through Friday

o Hours worked: 2:00pm to 10:30pm

o Pay: $24.89/ hr. 

Qualifications /Other Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience with a stand-up deep reach forklift. 

• Must be able to read orders for picking and staging of products.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated problem solving abilities and attention to detail.
