This position requires strong design, technical, and communication skills. You will help develop projects and partner directly with internal and external business teams.  In this role, you will help to manage the design of world-class facilities, optimizing standards, and overseeing key architectural and design firms. We need someone who can balance diving deep into specific project details while never losing site of broader growth goals. Your work will ultimately help achieve Ethos’ plans to provide high-quality medical care for pets and outstanding experiences for clients.

  • You will help to organize and maintain regular updates to the prototype standards, managing multiple design versions and overall design library.  These may include design prototype standards for different functions and specialties, and assorted floorplans for reference and guidance to sites and strategic leaders.
  • You will partner with Design Manger and internal cross functional teams to dig into root causes of design issues or changes in requirements. You’ll be comfortable following up on action items, providing feedback and escalating issues should they arise.
  • Find efficiencies and help create best practices, help to identify process improvements, highlight potential time, or cost savings for project efficiency.

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum 4+ years of design experience. Previous work with veterinary, human medical, and/or pet-related businesses is preferred.

  • “Get it done” attitude. You will succeed in this role if you are a self-starter who is resourceful, collaborative, and solution oriented.
  • Exceptional communication skills, being available for meetings and video conferencing when needed. Using your ability to employ sound judgment and establish next steps to resolve matters of complexity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and responsibly from both your home office and in person, to achieve priorities.
  • A love for design details, adhering to schedules, and meeting budgets
