Sewickley Academy is seeking to hire an Assistant Hockey Coach. The part-time head coach is responsible for working closely with the Head Coach to develop and implement training programs, strategies, and tactics to help our student-athletes achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices and games
• Develop and implement training programs to improve the skills and performance of our student-athletes
• Provide guidance and support to student-athletes both on and off the ice
• Help maintain a positive and respectful team culture
• Attend all team meetings, practices, and games
• Assist with equipment management and maintenance
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes

Requirements:

• Previous experience coaching hockey
• Strong knowledge of the game of hockey and coaching strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach
• Passion for working with student-athletes and helping them achieve their goals
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid or the willingness to acquire these certifications
