See the job description and expectations below:Responsibilities - Service Tech:Perform work as outlined on repair order with safety, efficiency, and accuracyDiagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair when authorizedCommunicate with the advisor and/or parts department to obtain needed partsSave and tag removed parts as required or requested by the insurance company, customer, or Parts Dept.Examine vehicle and notify the manager and/or advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promisedRoad-test vehicles when requiredSupervise work of any apprentice technicians as assignedEnsure that customer's cars are kept cleanKeep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all timesUnderstand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastesQualifications/Requirements - Service Tech:General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operationsGeneral mechanical skillsAbility to operate hand and power tools safelyAbility to operate a standard transmission vehicleAbility to use a computer and 10 key calculatorFrequent verbal communicationPersonal Initiative is importantHigh school diploma or the equivalentValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordAbility to frequently lift/carry up to 75 lbs.Please upload your resume.
