Job Description

Overview: This position will produce, merchandise, package, and sell upscale food items for a satellite food operation in the hospital. The individual will be required to display and set up entire kiosk/coffee shop area, be responsible for all cash operations of the unit, as well as control costs, maximize sales through analysis of customer purchase patterns and interaction, as well as maintain immaculate, sanitary conditions during production and sales of items. They will be responsible for all storage and cleanup of all areas related to production and merchandizing of these items Responsibilities: Cash Handling

• Knows all prices
• Charges all customers correctly
• Makes change to all customers correctly
• Operates cash register in a smooth and timely manner
• Ability to count and maintain accuracy with large sums of money
• Keeps “over/short” less than $3.00 per shift
• Ability to be pleasant and courteous to all customers at all times

Coffee and Beverage Standards

• Ability to make a variety of coffee drinks using supplied equipment
• Maintains and cleans equipment to keep them in proper working order and to maintain quality of
• beverages
• Stays current with new trends in coffee beverages and is familiar with making those drinks
• Is fast and efficient at making beverages and serving customers
• Remembers frequent customers and beverage preferences to provide the personal touch

Food and Displays

• Set up food and merchandising displays daily and maintains those displays to a high standard.
• Stays current with customer preferences to assist with accurate production pars and correct amount
• of inventory on hand
• Keeps all equipment, displays, and counters cleaned and sanitized at all times
• Maintains impulse racks and ancillary items to take advantage of impulse purchases
• Partners with others to keep displays creative and fresh to our customers

Departmental Teamwork, Sales, additional duties

• Aggressive at attaining and exceeding sales goals
• Maintains knowledge of other department operations and partners as needed for the good of the
  entire department
• Maintains area around Coffee Kiosk so we are good neighbors to others in the area and walkway
• Must work closely and productively with other kiosk workers in order to provide peak operational standards and customer service
• Ensures Kiosk is fully stocked up and ready before leaving shift

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is $15.39per hour - $24.93per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
