Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O'Brien has an immediate opening for a Construction MEP Site Manager to join our team.
Role Summary:

We are seeking a Construction MEP Site Manager with a strong Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) background to oversee on-site data center construction . The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing large-scale technical facility projects, preferably within the data center sector or other mission-critical environments. Estimating background is a plus and preconstruction experience is preferred.

As an MEP Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems installation. You will also supervise the on-site procurement process, quality assurance, and commissioning while collaborating with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Project Management – Oversee MEP systems installation and integration for a large-scale data center project, ensuring alignment with design, schedule, and budget.
  • MEP Coordination – Work closely with subcontractors, general contractors, and engineers to ensure proper execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • MEP Preconstruction Support – Work with design engineers to define and review MEP system requirements, ensuring alignment with critical infrastructure standards.
  • MEP Estimating Support – Support the estimating team in creating and validating MEP estimates, participate in cost reconciliation with trade partners.
  • Quality Control & Compliance – Monitor site progress, conduct inspections, and enforce industry best practices, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Schedule & Budget Oversight through MEP activity sequence optimization, long-lead equipment coordination, and commissioning milestones. Collaborate with project teams to maintain construction schedules, track costs, and identify/mitigate potential risks.
  • Technical Problem-Solving – Address on-site challenges by working with engineers and contractors to ensure efficient MEP installations.
  • Testing & Commissioning – Oversee and assist in the commissioning of critical MEP systems to ensure they function correctly before project handover.
  • Reporting & Documentation – Provide regular project updates, site reports, and issue tracking for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in construction site management with a strong MEP background.

Data Center Experience: Preferred but not required. Other mission-critical experience (e.g., hospitals, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, etc.) is also considered.

Licenses: General Contractor 

Certifications: Current OSHA 30, PMP, PE, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, power systems, generators, UPS, and fire suppression systems.
  • Estimating Experience.
  • Preconstruction Experience.
  • Familiarity with BIM, Revit, Procore, or other construction management software.
  • FAA107 and drone experience is a plus

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and engineers.

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
