Job Title: Cyber Security Platforms DevOps/SRE Engineer

Location: Montreal, Canada (Onsite)

Duration: 12 months

Rate: $70-75/hr on W2

Core Responsibilities:

• As an experienced Automation Engineer , you will work with a global team to analyze, design, plan, and deploy automation for toil reduction/elimination.
• Transform existing systems into Infrastructure as Code (IaC) , Configuration as Code (CaC) , and Monitoring as Code (MaC) using enterprise solutions and best practices.
• Implement anomaly and fault detection to improve service stability , security , and overall service levels .
• Reimagine and build the next-generation secure and mission-critical email infrastructure for a global financial organization.
• Collaborate with a diverse, global team .
• Provide architecture assurance on messaging initiatives.
• Maintain a secure environment by implementing risk mitigation controls .
• Offer consultancy services to IT Security teams.
• Develop automated metrics reporting capabilities.
• Maintain documentation including publishing fixes in a centralized knowledge base.

Qualifications and Skills:

Technical Skills:

• Unix Networking
• Familiarity with SDLC concepts and toolsets ( Git , Jenkins , ALM )
• Knowledge of Agile principles and DevOps practices
• Intermediate or above in:
  • Automation (Ansible)
  • GNU/Linux OS and GNU tools
  • Infrastructure protocols: DNS , LDAP , NTP , SNMP , SMTP
  • SMTP email protocols and standards : SMTP , DMARC , DKIM , SPF
  • Python and Shell scripting (programmer mindset)
• Familiarity with email security techniques (anti-malware, anti-spam)

Soft Skills:

• Self-learner
• Strong communication
• Effective team player

Preferred Professional Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in management information systems , Information Technology , or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years with RHEL/Linux systems
• 5+ years scripting with Python and/or Bash
• 3+ years automating with Ansible
• Experience with SDLC tools : Git , Jira , ALM , Jenkins
• Strong Linux system administration experience
• Working knowledge of Networking , DNS , LDAP , SSL/TLS
• Experience with large-scale SMTP email gateway deployment
• Familiarity with email hygiene and authentication frameworks : DMARC , DKIM , SPF
• Automation using Ansible

• Incident response and operational troubleshooting
• Continuous improvement of existing solutions
• New product development and integration
• Cross-functional collaboration (internal and external teams)

Additional Details:

• On-call rotation: Once every 6 weeks
