Role Overview- Dental Assistant

At Monokian Dentistry, we’re excited to offer a unique opportunity for a  Versa Dental Assistant — a hybrid role designed for a highly motivated, solutions-focused individual who thrives in both clinical and operational environments.

“Versa” stands for  versatility — and this role is exactly that. You’ll bridge the gap between patient care and behind-the-scenes systems — helping ensure smooth daily flow, equipment readiness, supply tracking, OSHA compliance, and lab case coordination. You’ll also regularly step in to support chair-side care, but this will not have your dedicated time .

Whether you're setting up rooms, tracking lab cases, monitoring supplies, or jumping in to support chairside care, you’ll play a critical role in keeping the day flowing efficiently.

It’s ideal for someone who loves being hands-on, takes pride in staying ahead of the game, and finds satisfaction in both the visible and behind-the-scenes success of a busy dental practice. Even if you haven’t held a title like this before, if you're organized, proactive, and naturally find yourself stepping in to keep things on track, we want to hear from you. We'll provide training and support — what matters most is your mindset and your ability to adapt and contribute across multiple operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain essential clinical systems
• Manage supply inventory and place orders proactively
• Monitor equipment and ensure functionality across all operatories
• Lead OSHA and sterilization protocol compliance
• Track, organize, and communicate lab cases
• Prep, flip, and set up rooms to keep doctor schedules running smoothly
• Support chairside when needed (x‑ray license preferred)
• Ensure proper flow of the day and help coordinate tasks across teams

Ideal Candidate

• Highly organized, adaptable, and proactive
• Experienced in dental settings (preferred)
• Holds an x‑ray license in NJ (required)
• Holds a CDA/RDA license in NJ (preferred, not required)
• Comfortable with multitasking and systems-based thinking
• Works well under pressure and communicates clearly with others
• Team-oriented and positive in high-energy environments
