As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special needs in a public-school setting.

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work in both home and community environments, delivering quality one-on-one services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. • Report any changes or concerns regarding the individual’s condition to your manager.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
  • Encourage independence by offering guidance, instruction, and role modeling.

  • Are at least 18 years old.
  • Can work flexible hours as needed.
  • Are eligible for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance.

  • Engage in prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.

Environment

You will need to function in a variety of environments, which may involve exposure to allergens and other conditions.
