Sanitation & Housekeeping Specialist
Location: Detroit, MI.
Schedule: AM & PM shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable Sanitation and Housekeeping Specialist with at least 3 years of experience in housekeeping or cleaning within a manufacturing facility or medical facility . The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment that meets health and safety standards in both production and common areas. Applicants must have a relevant resume demonstrating experience in industrial or healthcare cleaning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, exam rooms, restrooms, and public areas in accordance with facility protocols and infection control standards.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous waste, sharps, and soiled linens following OSHA and facility guidelines.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, vacuums, buffers, and UV disinfecting machines.
• Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies such as soap, hand sanitizer, paper products, and PPE to maintain readiness in all areas.
• Perform deep cleaning, spill response, and emergency sanitation tasks promptly and efficiently.
• Follow all chemical handling procedures and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintain accurate cleaning logs and inspection reports as required by company and state regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of housekeeping, custodial, or sanitation experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or healthcare facility .
• Working knowledge of infection control, and chemical safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks safely.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service.
