About this Position: Provide equipment availability through technical expertise, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance to achieve manufacturing production targets. Responsibilities include:Confirm equipment operates to and maintains compliance to safety, quality, and environmental standardsSupport production team to achieve daily targetsSuccessfully complete required preventive and planned maintenance per plan, utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to meet equipment quality and availabilitySupport projects to ensure the success of new model and business plan strategies to improve department characteristicsUnderstand equipment functionality and operational characteristics to perform an efficient equipment repair and/or recoveryUtilize any and all available troubleshooting tool and resources to facilitate efficient equipment repair and/or recoveryDevelop capability of self and team by mentoring, training, and sharing of experience to ensure technical skill set growthUtilize basic root cause analysis logic to improve equipment availability and apply countermeasures to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment targetsMaintain daily communication and reporting to ensure accurate transfer of information utilizing and accurately documenting activity in CMMS (Maximo) to capture labor time, resources applied (parts), conditions identified, and details of tasks performedUnderstand equipment safety specifications and maintain its integrity to ensure associate safetyComplete scheduled work and training as assigned by Equipment Service Technician Coordinator and Manufacturing Equipment Service Department (MESD) engineers to meet production and MESD goals Who we are seeking:Required Work Experience:Technical experience with asset management or industrial maintenance Required Education:Technical Associate Degree or equivalent experience preferred Desired skills:Electrical troubleshooting and repair skillsBe able to read electrical and mechanical printsMechanical repair skillsUse of electrical test metersPM (preventive maintenance) completionEquipment uptime in assigned areaMean time to repair (MTTR) Additional Position Factors:Workstyle: Production floorTravel: As neededMust be willing to work nights and weekends as requiredMust be willing to work overtime if needed At Honda, you will play a key role in our journey to become a company that society wants to exist now, and in the future.
