ABOUT THIS JOB: Special Event Design & Production Company seeking a Fabrication Associate. In this position you will be
responsible for working within the fabrication team to successfully create customized designs for our events.
JOB DESCRIPTION: - Assist with painting, basic woodworking, carpentry, metalwork, welding, and basic handling of power tools.
- Work on a variety of fabrication designs, prototyping, and repairs. Execute and assist with general warehouse related tasks as necessary.
- Demonstrate safe use and working knowledge of equipment, tools, and procedures.
- Maintain the fabrication warehouse and common areas in a clean, safe and organized manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: - High School Diploma, GED, or other technical or trade school education.
- Welding, scenic, construction, and/or general carpentry related experience.
- Theater background a plus!
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and occasional holidays.
- Dependable, efficient, and able to be productive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- High level of attention to detail.
WHAT WE OFFER: - This is a seasonal hourly position to assist with our busy season.
- This seasonal position will be needed from September - November.
- $23-26/hr (depending on experience)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Ability to push/pull/lift up to 60 pounds.
- Continual standing and/or walking without limitations up to 10 hours daily.
- Ability to work in an environment that may be noisy, unheated, and not air conditioned.
- Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists.
