Exclusive Airport Lounge Culinary Opportunities – AABA Soho and Chelsea Lounges at JFK!


Positions: Full-Time Prep/Sauté Cook & Fine Dining Sous Chefs.

Pay Rate: $24.50 – $25.00/hour.
Shifts: Afternoon/Evening Shifts requires weekend avalibilty (8hr days, 5 days a week).
Location: AABA Lounge, JFK International Airport.

We are currently hiring 3–4 experienced culinary professionals to join our elite team in two key areas:

• Prep/Sauté Cook – High Volume Service.

What You’ll Do:
As a Prep/Sauté Cook, you’ll be part of the team that brings high-volume, fast-paced excellence to life. From sauces to composed salads and buffet offerings, you’ll support the heart of our kitchen operations. Ideal for cooks with experience in large-scale catering, banquets, or premium buffet service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prep and assemble a wide range of cold and hot food items, sauces, dressings, and salads to exacting standards.
• Execute sauté and station-based cooking for busy buffet and service periods.
• Support daily service for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and portion control protocols.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of buffet lines and catered events.

What You Bring:

• 1–2 years of relevant culinary experience (banquet, catering, or volume prep a plus).
• Strong knife skills, recipe comprehension, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, team-centered environment.

Fine Dining Sous Chef – A la Carte & Small Plates

What You’ll Do:
Our Fine Dining Sous Chef is a critical leadership role supporting the upscale tier of the AABA Lounge. This position requires a chef with exceptional plating, timing, and a keen eye for detail in an à la carte and small plate setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execution of fine dining service including small plate preparation and high-end culinary presentations.
• Oversee the setup, preperation, presentation, quality, and sanitation standards of buffet offerings to ensure a consistent, elevated guest experience. 
• Prepare composed dishes to order with speed and precision during high-volume service.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to execute rotating seasonal menus and VIP selections.
• Guide prep cooks and line staff in maintaining consistent standards of quality and excellence.
• Support kitchen organization, inventory, and sanitation efforts.

What You Bring:

• 3+ years of experience in a fine dining, upscale lounge, or hotel kitchen required.
• Strong background in sauté, grill, and garde manger.
• Previous leadership or sous chef experience highly preferred.
• Experience with à la carte service, elegant plating, and high guest expectations.
