Location: Buffalo, NY
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week) potential overtime.
Travel Requirement: Up to 50-75% (Must have own vehicle; mileage reimbursement). 300 weekly mile radius
Position Summary: We are seeking a
Field Engineer to support the client customer data centers by resolving hardware and infrastructure issues. This role requires hands-on experience with enterprise-level systems and a strong understanding of data center operations.
Key Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot and resolve issues across IT infrastructure including client and multi-vendor enterprise systems, servers, storage, and networking.
- Perform rack and stack, hardware installations, disk drive and memory replacements, and hot swaps.
- Utilize software tools for daily operations and troubleshooting in a data center environment.
- Provide client-facing support with professionalism and technical expertise.
- Collaborate with team members during a 45–90 day training period; you will not be expected to work solo during this time.
Qualifications: - Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a mailing address.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience with servers, cables, racks, workstations, routers/switches, and network infrastructure.
- Experience in data center environments is highly preferred.
- Strong client-facing communication skills.
- CompTIA+ certification is a plus.
