Summary

Join our team as a Production or Shipping/Receiving associate operating powered industrial equimpment! We’re looking for dedicated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. As an equipment operator, you’ll play a crucial role in the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. This position requires working with raw and/or cooked packaged products. Typical assignments may include Stagers, Loaders, Turret Truck Operators, Receivers, Receiving Lift Operators and Picking Reach Truck Operators.

• Dayshift Shifts
• Warehouse A: 6:00am-6:00pm (Sun-Tues) 6:00am-12:00pm (Wed)
• Warehouse B: 6:00am-6:00pm (Thurs-Sat) 12:00pm-6:00am (Wed)
• Production A: 7:30am - 7:00pm (Wed - Sat)
• Production C: 5:30am - 7:00pm (Monday, Tuesday, Sunday)

• Nightshift Shift:
• Warehouse C: 5:58pm-6:00am (Sun-Tues) 5:58pm-12:00am (Wed)
• Warehouse D: 5:58pm-6:00am (Thurs-Sat) 11:58pm-6:00am (Wed)
• Production B: 6:45pm - 5:30am (Mon-Fri)

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
• Put away and/or replenish pallets with/without product within the warehouse
• Unload and load trucks, ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently.
• Ability to accurately document and track inventory.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring all items are securely packed and labeled correctly.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to resolve any issues or discrepancies.

Minimum Education

High School or equivalent not required but beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• At least 1 year of continuous work experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations.
• Previous experience in operation of forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to pass forklift/pallet jack certification courses offered by Perdue

Experience Preferred

• 2+ years’ experience in a distribution warehouse preferred.
• Current Certification

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

When in a plant environment:

• Ability to tolerate exposure to wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• Ability to stand for an extended period and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs by reaching, bending, and pushing boxes.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection as required.
• May work in an environment with varying temperatures between 25 degrees and 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
• May handle product varying in temperatures between 25 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
• Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
