Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. his role plays a critical part in ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time, helping to streamline workflows, prevent shortages, and reduce waste. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of inventory systems, is process-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all storage locations
• Perform regular inventory counts (cycle counts, spot checks, full physical counts) and reconcile discrepancies
• Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments; ensure inventory is correctly logged into the system
• Track inventory movements and transfers between departments, locations, or job sites
• Work with purchasing and operations teams to anticipate and prevent stockouts or overstock situations
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or process improvements
• Ensure all inventory activities comply with company policies and safety standards
• Prepare and submit inventory reports to management on a regular basis
• Assist in implementing and optimizing inventory management software or ERP systems
• Support warehouse organization, labeling, and storage optimization

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or logistics (preferred)
• 2-4 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management
• Strong knowledge of inventory tracking systems and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Experience with ERP or inventory software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Fishbowl, etc.)
• Solid math and data entry skills with attention to detail
• Ability to lift/move items as needed and work in warehouse environments
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain (if required)
• HVAC, manufacturing, or distribution industry experience
• Knowledge of barcoding systems and inventory automation tools
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
