Salary: $48,000 - 78,000 per year Requirements:
- Associate or bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a related area. Equivalent experience may also be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least 8 years of practical helpdesk, security, and network administration experience.
- A minimum of 2-3 years managing a team focused on helpdesk and systems administration duties.
- Proven experience in installing and managing servers, desktops, laptops, and software updates.
- Familiarity with conducting penetration tests and resolving related issues.
- Strong expertise in implementing best practices for helpdesk and IT operations, with thorough knowledge of networking, security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
- Practical experience with secure firewalls, particularly Cisco ASA or similar systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of firewall concepts, including Security Zones, policy ordering, and audit log management.
- Good grasp of routing (OSPF/EIGRP/BGP) and switching technologies.
- Solid knowledge of proxy-based products, ideally with hands-on experience.
- Proficient in both Linux and Windows systems.
- Well-versed in various security technologies, including VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint security solutions, and content security gateways.
- Experience with AWS configuration, security enhancements, and networking.
- Familiarity with O365, Azure, Entra, and Defender.
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage the IT infrastructure team, which includes network, server, storage, and cloud operations.
- Implement infrastructure strategies that align with business objectives and IT service management best practices.
- Standardize solutions and processes across the organization.
- Lead infrastructure improvement projects, such as upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
- Ensure all infrastructure components perform optimally, reliably, and securely.
- Promote continuous improvement through automation, monitoring, and proactive maintenance.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to facilitate the planning and implementation of new infrastructure or upgrades.
- Safeguard the companys IT assets, encompassing software and hardware.
- Maintain security for firewalls, networks, servers, PCs, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Protect MS Azure cloud and AWS Cloud components and services.
- Manage security aspects related to firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs, among other technologies.
- Create secure access controls, identity management solutions, and segmentation policies.
- Develop, enforce, and review information security policies and procedures.
- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity using SIEM tools and react to security alerts and incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts across relevant platforms.
- Assist in the deployment of network hardware and software with a focus on security.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend improvements to strengthen the organizations security posture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure application and system deployments.
- Keep documentation of network and security configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
- Engage with third-party vendors on Cyber Security projects, such as penetration testing and server patches.
- Install and upgrade computer and network components and manage virtual servers, integrating automation processes when necessary.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues by running diagnostics, documenting problems, and prioritizing resolutions.
- Execute or delegate regular backup operations, ensuring data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures are in place.
- Support helpdesk efforts to ensure all desktop applications and workstation issues are addressed promptly.
- Manage capacity planning, storage allocation, and network performance analysis.
- Conduct periodic bandwidth testing to enhance network connectivity.
- Participate in budgeting and cost control for infrastructure initiatives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to infrastructure team members.
