This role is a critical link between Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and business teams, ensuring that projects and operational initiatives are executed efficiently and in alignment with organizational objectives. The Legal & Compliance Project Manager drives cross-functional programs, manages project timelines, and supports regulatory compliance initiatives such as GDPR implementations. This position combines project management expertise with legal and compliance knowledge to optimize workflows, mitigate risks, and enhance overall department performance. You will work in a dynamic, remote-first environment, collaborating closely with senior leadership and multiple stakeholders. The role offers opportunities to shape operational processes, contribute to strategic compliance programs, and ensure regulatory readiness across the organization. Strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, and attention to detail are essential to succeed in this position.

Accountabilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute legal and compliance projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Support strategic initiatives and special projects, including GDPR implementation and other regulatory compliance programs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage dependencies, and communicate progress to stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Privacy, HR, IT, and business units.
  • Track risks, identify obstacles, and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain operational frameworks, workflows, and documentation to improve department efficiency.
  • Provide reporting and analysis to monitor project status, resource allocation, and compliance milestones.
  • Support process improvements and ensure alignment between business objectives and legal/compliance requirements.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or PMP certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, legal operations, or compliance operations.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, HHS OIG, CMS, and data privacy laws.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Smartsheets, Asana, Monday.com , Google Sheets) and legal operations systems (CLM tools).
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven stakeholder management and change-management capabilities.
  • Self-driven with strong interpersonal skills, capable of influencing across functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
