Job Description

Part-Time Nanny/House Manager (Afternoons) – Norwich, VT – $30–$35/hour

Compensation: $30–$35 per hour, based on experience
Start Date: September 1st (flexible)
Benefits:
2 weeks paid vacation, 5 paid sick/personal days, major holidays off and paid unless otherwise discussed

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 2:15 - 6:15 PM (20 hours guaranteed per week)
  • Optional: Additional household management hours to increase hours to 35-40/ week

    Commitment: at least 1 year (option for longer term)

    A warm and welcoming family in Norwich, VT is seeking a reliable, loving, and proactive nanny/house manager to care for their three children, ages 9, 10, and 12. The position begins in late August or early September and is designed to be long-term. The family is flexible and open to both part-time and full-time candidates depending on your availability and interest in household support.

    Responsibilities:

  • School pick-up and transportation to activities
  • Provide a loving, safe and structured environment
  • Supervise and assist with homework and school projects
  • Engage children in age-appropriate play and conversation
  • Provide healthy afterschool snack
  • Prep and serve dinner on days when needed
  • Children’s laundry and light tidying of play areas

    Full time position would also include:

    • Grocery shopping, meal prep
    • Coordination with housekeeper who comes once a week
    • Dry cleaning drop off/pickup weekly
    • Errands like post office/fed ex drop offs
    • Scheduling household vendors and appointments
    • Organization of sports gear and mudroom

      Ideal Candidate:

  • Kind, patient and able to motivate and guide children
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Reliable and organized
  • Comfortable caring for multiple children with differing schedules
  • Background in education or child development is a plus (not required)
  • Mature, dependable, and collaborative with parents

     

    Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Own car for school pickups and errands (milage reimbursed)
  • Up to date on vaccinations
  • Comfortable with dogs (goldendoodle)
  • Provide 3-5 professional references
