About the Position: We are working with a Chambers-ranked Chicago-based law firm that has an immediate need for a patent prosecution lawyer to join as a mid-level associate. This cutting-edge firm represents clients in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, medical device, and cosmetic industries in litigation, regulatory, and IP matters. Highlights:

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, file, and prosecute patent applications
• Draft new patent applications
• Conduct patentability analysis
• Assist with patent clearance studies
• Prepare client correspondence

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of patent prosecution experience in the field of chemical or life sciences and a degree in a biological or chemistry field
• Must be registered to practice with the USPTO and previous experience with the food, beverage, nutritional supplement, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical industries is a plus
