Woof’s Play & Stay is now hiring experienced and talented Pet Groomers & Stylists to add to our successful team. The ideal groomer candidate is currently a professional groomer with a great reputation. Woof’s Play & Stay offers custom grooming packages as well as fun upgrades to ensure the highest level of comfort and ease for dogs, parents, and our groomers!

Qualifications:

• Ability to groom based on general breed standards and customer requests 
• Must have at least two years of current professional grooming experience 
• Must have good temperament with animals 
• Photos of grooming work required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with a large variety of dog breeds
• Able to interact with customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
• Follows clients instructions to ensure pups are groomed to specifications and satisfaction of the client

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Professionally perform grooming services on animals as requested by pet parents while ensuring the safety and well-being of each animal 
• Perform grooming services including, but not limited to bathing, brushing, nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, gland expressions, shaving, and scissor trimming
• Maintain a clean and healthy work environment

Working Condition and Physical Demands:

• The typical noise level for this position is moderate (i.e. dog barking)
• Sit/stand/walking for extended period
• Lift up to 50 Ibs
• Squatting, kneeling, twisting/bending at the waist
• Ability to handle dogs up to 150Ibs
• Hear and take care of animals, and speak fluently with owners
• See clearly at a distance of 20 inches or less to read documents, view computer screen, and ensure appropriate dog behavior
