Faith-Based: Pre-K2 Assistant Teacher Reports To: Lead Teacher and Early Childhood Administrator Location: Community Leadership Academy Department: Early Childhood Overview: The Pre-K2 Assistant Teacher serves as a vital member of our early childhood team, partnering with the Lead Teacher to provide a Christ-centered, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children two years of age. The Assistant will help guide the spiritual, emotional, social, and cognitive growth of each child while modeling Christian values and love. Key Responsibilities: Spiritual and Relational

• Assist in integrating Biblical principles into daily routines, stories, songs, and conversations.
• Pray with and for the children, and encourage their understanding of God’s love.
• Support a classroom environment where Christ’s love is evident in all interactions.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and licensing regulations.
• Support children's social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities.
• Model positive behavior, language, and interactions.
• Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and administrators.

• Help implement the daily schedule, lesson plans, and classroom routines in alignment with faith-based curriculum as established by the Lead Teacher.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and joyful learning environment that reflects Christian values.
• Supervise children at all times, ensuring a safe and engaging atmosphere; both indoors and outdoors.
• Assist with diapering, toileting, and hygiene routines, ensuring comfort and dignity for each child.
• Support developmentally appropriate activities that promote motor skills, language, and social interaction.
• Maintain positive, Christ-like relationships with children, parents, staff and administrators.
• Assist in the supervision and safety of children at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
• Assist with meal/snack time, serving, and cleanup, following all health and safety regulations.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (DCF 45hrs (or willingness to obtain upon hire), Early Childhood Education or CDA preferred).
• Prior experience working in a preschool setting is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Must pass all required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, sit on the floor, and move quickly as needed.
