Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant

Location: West Michigan; Looking for our Grand Haven, Holland, and/or Muskegon, locations

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Reports To: Owner/Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) to join our team. The PNP/PA will provide advanced psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with practice policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education activities.
  • Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in psychiatric care.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nursing with a psychiatric specialty (required)
  • Active PMHNP License in the state of Michigan (required) OR a licensed Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan with prior experience in psychiatric care, including diagnostic treatment and medication management.
  • Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) (required)
  • Minimum 2 Years of Experience providing psychiatric assessment and medication management (preferred)
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
