Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Public Works Counter Technician to join a leading engineering consulting firm. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact at the public works counter, assisting residents, contractors, and developers with inquiries and service requests. Process permit applications, including reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy. Provide information on public works policies, procedures, and regulations. Utilize permit tracking software to manage and monitor the status of permits. Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely processing and approval of permits. Maintain accurate records and files related to permits and public works projects. Assist in resolving issues or concerns related to public works services. Prepare reports and documentation as required. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. Skills and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in public administration, construction management, or a related field is a plus. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a public works or municipal environment. Familiarity with permit processing and tracking software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
