Job Description

We’re looking for a meticulous and independent Freelance QA Tester to help us ensure the quality and usability of our web-based SaaS platform. Our product includes a Slack-integrated AI assistant and a web-based account dashboard.

This is a part-time, long-term freelance opportunity (approx. 20 hours/month) – perfect for someone with a strong eye for detail and experience testing modern SaaS tools and integrations.

Tasks

What You’ll Do

• Run manual and automated tests on our Slack app and web dashboard
• Conduct test cycles 2–4x per week (~1 hour/session) to catch bugs and usability issues
• Build and maintain test scripts using tools like Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium
• Log bugs with clear repro steps and environment details
• Collaborate with our dev team to validate fixes and re-test features
• Proactively share UX and performance feedback
• Suggest improvements to our QA workflow or tools

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience testing web-based SaaS platforms
• Experience with Slack app QA (slash commands, bot behavior, Slack API)
• Solid background in automated testing (Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, etc.)
• Ability to set up and manage your own QA environment
• Detail-obsessed with excellent bug documentation skills
• Comfortable with short, recurring testing sessions (2–4x/week)

Nice to Have

• Experience testing integrations with Slack, MS Teams, or similar tools
• Familiarity with API testing (Postman, Insomnia)
• Background in usability or accessibility testing
• Previous experience with AI tools or remote-first startups
• Knowledge of AI automation/testing platforms like Testim or mabl
