Job Description

DSI, Systems Inc. is a premier national distributor of cutting-edge technology solutions, with a strong focus on video, networking, and connected services. As a trusted top-tier partner of DIRECTV, we empower commercial and enterprise clients to deliver exceptional entertainment experiences in a wide range of industries—including hospitality, healthcare, multi-dwelling units (MDUs), sports venues, and more.

We’re looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled individual to join our Enterprise team as a Sales Engineer. If you’re detail-oriented, customer-focused, and excel at bridging the gap between solution design, order execution, and ongoing account support, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Sales Engineer at DSI, you’ll wear two hats:

1. Solution Design & Technical Support – Architect and support DIRECTV enterprise-grade video solutions.

2. Account Management & Order Processing – Own customer relationships, guide orders from quote to fulfillment, and provide post-sale care.

You’ll collaborate daily with our sales, operations, and client teams, ensuring every project runs smoothly from initial consultation through ongoing support. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multitasking environment,— balancing technical consulting with account stewardship and process coordination.

Office requirements: This is a remote opportunity: the qualified candidate must live in the Dallas, Texas area.

About DSI

DSI is a family-owned company that has been in business since 1984. We provide enhanced value that delivers results for our clients and partners through sales management, marketing assistance, hardware logistics solutions, immersive training, engineering expertise, and proprietary software solutions.

We believe that relationships are the most important part of our business. Whether it's mobility, broadband, video, commercial, residential, Lodging & Institutions, Multi-Dwelling Units, or all; we are a one-stop solution to help sales partners uncover growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

Sales Engineering

  • Consult with commercial clients and partners to assess video distribution needs and design DIRECTV enterprise solutions
  • Provide pre-sales technical support, system diagrams, and scope recommendations
  • Assist with RFP responses and solution proposals
  • Stay up to date on DIRECTV platform capabilities and technology trends

Account Management & Order Entry

  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned accounts, supporting both sales growth and customer satisfaction
  • Enter, process, and track orders accurately using internal CRM and order management systems
  • Coordinate with DSI operations and DIRECTV provisioning teams to ensure timely delivery and activation
  • Manage documentation, licensing, contracts, and compliance for enterprise clients
  • Identify upselling or cross-sell opportunities based on evolving customer needs

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Account Manager, or Sales Support role — ideally in telecom, AV, or enterprise tech
  • Strong understanding of DIRECTV enterprise platforms or commercial video systems preferred
  • Comfortable reading floor plans, designing AV layouts, and using tools like Visio or AutoCAD a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for order tracking and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and customer-facing
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Salesforce (or other CRM), and order entry platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary + bonus opportunities
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance are available on the first day of the month following your first day of employment – no extended waiting period
  • 401k Plan with employer matching
  • Paid vacation, personal/sick days, and bereavement time
  • Employee Profit Sharing Program
  • 50% AT&T wireless discount
  • Paid training
  • Direct access to top-tier manufacturer partnerships and enterprise clients
  • Supportive, team-oriented work environment
  • Professional growth in a dynamic, growing technology company
  • Advancement opportunities, we prefer to promote from within!
