Rapidly growing Owner Operator is actively recruiting an Owners Rep – Site Monitor - Civil to join the team! This is an immediate opening working onsite an 80MW wind site for one of the largest owner operators in the US. This Owners Rep will work at least 50 hours a week and many weeks will be 55-72 hours per week through November with a qualified candidate likely put on a new site once this one finishes.
Compensation: $35-$55/hr + Approximately $175/day per diem + vehicle reimbursement
Scope of Responsibilities:
The Site Monitor – Civil will specialize in concrete, dirt and underground utilities to ensure the 80MW wind site is built safely and up to code. Additional Responsibilities include:
1. Earthwork ("Dirt Work")
· Site grading and clearing
· Access road construction
· Trenching and backfilling for electrical lines
· Compaction testing to meet engineering specs
· Erosion and sediment control monitoring
2. Concrete Work
· Turbine foundation excavation and formwork
· Rebar placement inspection
· Monitoring concrete mix, delivery, and pour
· Slump testing, air content, temperature checks
· Witnessing test cylinders for compressive strength
3. Documentation and Reporting
· Daily field reports
· QA/QC logs and photos
· Non-compliance reports
· Tracking subcontractor work vs. plans/specs
4. Coordination
· Communicating with site superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors
· Ensuring proper sequencing (e.g., don't pour before inspections)
Qualifications:
· 3+ year as a civil expert for heavy construction projects
Wind or renewable experience is a plus
· Expert with concrete, dirt and underground utilities for new construction projects
· Interested in working at least 50 hours per week with most weeks closer to 55-72 hours per week
