We're hiring FT/PT Servers, Hosts, Food Runners, and Bussers with Night/Weekend availability! When: 12PM to 4PM on January 9. Feel free to schedule a time to come in or just stop by - and if you try to schedule a time and our system won't let you, please still come see us (technology isn't perfect!).

Required skills and qualifications for hourly restaurant positions at Mad Mex Monroeville:

• Must be at least 16 years old (18 for Servers, 21 for Bartenders) - Work Permit required if under 18 years old
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with others
• Exceptional customer service skills

Server

Our servers are passionate about great food, drinks, and delivering an unforgettable hospitality experience. 

• Servers welcome and greet guests as they arrive, take food and beverage orders, and deliver those items from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner. 
• Servers monitor and observe guests’ dining experience to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly to any requests. 
• Servers have a friendly and professional demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. 
• Servers provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers. 

Hosts

Our hosts make an excellent first impression to start off a great dining experience for our guests.

• Hosts welcome and greet guests as they arrive and thank them as they leave.

• Hosts seat guests, maintain and organize the host stand, and update the wait list.

• Hosts create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

• Hosts are friendly, organized, and have a professional demeanor.

Food Runner

Our food runners play a vital role in delivering food promptly to guests while assisting the kitchen staff and servers with communication.

• Food Runners deliver food from the kitchen to the guests in a timely manner.

• Food Runners assist servers, bartenders, and hosts as needed and help bussers clear tables.

• Food Runners answer guest questions, pack and ensure takeout orders are correct, and communicate with both the kitchen staff and serving staff to ensure a smooth shift.

Busser

Our bussers work well in a fast-paced team environment and help create an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

• Bussers remove tableware between courses and clear and reset tables after guests leave.

• Bussers take used silverware, dishes, and glassware to their appropriate stations for washing and restock appropriate areas.

• Bussers respond to guest requests and communicate with the servers and hosts as needed to ensure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.

Mad Mex is more than burritos and guacamole (although we love both!). It’s a fun, casual place with legendary customer service and our take on what we call “funky fresh Cal-Mex” – which means serving the freshest food with the biggest flavors.
