Job Title: Sorter/Packer III - US

Location: Knoxville TN

Note : Shift hours: 7 AM 5:30PM Monday through Thursday. Some Fridays are required, but they are typically half days. Must be fully cleared prior to start. Steel toe shoes required. Site Tours Required. Top 3 Keywords: 1. Material Sorting 2. PPE Compliance/Safety Procedures 3. Heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs)

Top Required Skills:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to twist and use hands/arms to sort material
• Ability to identify different materials

Must-Have Skills:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to sort materials by grade
• Strong attention to safety and housekeeping
• Ability to follow PPE requirements
• Ability to ascend/descend stairs
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting and sorting

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in recycling, warehouse, or material sorting environments
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping and maintenance procedures
• Comfort working in fast-paced, physical environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort materials into designated bunkers based on material grade.
• Perform daily housekeeping to maintain clean stairways, passageways, and work areas.
• Participate actively in Health & Safety programs and follow all safety rules.
• Complete daily maintenance checks, including blowing out radiators and filters and submitting required paperwork.
• Remove wrapped material from metering drum weekly and request cleaning materials as needed.
• Remove batteries, metal, and needles from sort line and place them in appropriate disposal areas.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent repetitive lifting of small items throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand for long hours and perform twisting, reaching, and sorting motions continuously.
• Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
• Must wear required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hi-vis clothing, hearing protection, arm guards, and cut-resistant gloves.
• Ability to identify different materials and maintain clean, safe work conditions.
