Location : We are seeking a Suites Food Expeditor in Miami Gardens, FL.

Principal Function:

As a Part-Time Suites Food Expeditor , you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of high-quality food and beverage service to our premium suites' guests. You'll be the key connection between our culinary team and event operations, coordinating the flow of prepared food from the kitchen to suites while maintaining top-tier standards in accuracy, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the preparation and packaging of catering and suite orders, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
  • Serve as the liaison between kitchen staff, suite attendants, and service teams to facilitate efficient communication and operations.
  • Organize and manage food tickets, ensuring orders are delivered with proper timing and presentation.
  • Ensure allergy precautions are communicated and upheld by both kitchen and service staff to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Study and retain allergy and dietary information; proactively address any food safety concerns.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication between back-of-house and front-of-house teams, relaying updates on orders and guest needs.
  • Oversee the pass, ensuring dishes are served promptly and meet all visual and quality expectations.
  • Communicate any incorrect, complimentary, or voided orders to management immediately.
  • Anticipate and prioritize last-minute changes to suite reservations or service needs.
  • Assist with setup and readiness for service based on forecasted covers, special functions, and reservations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, General Manager, and Manager on Duty to ensure seamless operations.
  • Uphold all health, sanitation, and food safety standards, reporting any potential hazards immediately.
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of hygiene, appearance, and uniform compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 1-2 years of experience in catering, banquets, or food service, ideally in a stadium or event setting.
  • Prior experience as a food expeditor or in a similar coordination role preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must be able to serve alcohol in accordance with Miami-Dade County regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in catering or special event operations.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., SERV Safe certification).
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (e.g., storage bins, trays).
  • Must be comfortable working in confined or fast-paced environments.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work extended or irregular hours based on event schedules.
