Job Description

SUMMARY:

CDL Class A Driver is responsible for an assigned / established daily route to make customer deliveries.

• Drives truck to deliver refrigerated product to customers’ place of business.
• Completes all pre and post inspection reports as required.
• Notes any discrepancies and problems on the Driver Discrepancy Report.
• Listens to and notes service complaints and reports to supervisor.
• Bring back rejected or unsold merchandise as authorized on the Credit Slip.
• Obtains customer signature on receipt as proof of pickup or deliver.
• Cleans inside of truck. (cab and box)
• Performs routine maintenance on truck including pre and post inspections
• Follows all Kayem and DOT policies, procedures and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires a current  valid Class “A” driver’s license and medical card.
• Driver must have a clean driver’s record for the past 5 years (no accidents or citations)
• Must be fluent in English, have good mathematical skills, have the ability to read road maps and follow directions.
• Must be flexible with hours and scheduled workdays.
• Have the ability if required to lift up to 75 pounds.
