Summary This position is responsible for coaching and providing direction to student athletes to help them achieve a high level of skill, discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork in athletics. Duties And Responsibilities Confer regularly with School Operations Managers, the School Principal, or their designees regarding student attendance and welfare matters. Communicate with parents, students, staff, etc., in person, by telephone, or letter to provide information on attendance issues and meet district and state absence notification requirements. Maintain attendance records, schedules, and files (manual and electronic) to provide reliable information in compliance with district policies. Prepare reports and written materials such as passes, attendance reports, and letters to parents to convey information about school and district activities and procedures. Process documents like attendance records, student placement, disciplinary notices, etc., for dissemination to appropriate parties. Respond to inquiries from staff, parents, probation officers, other schools, and students to provide information and directions. Recommend pupil referrals to the school principal or designee for agencies like child guidance clinics, family services, and placement agencies. Assist the principal or School Attendance Team with coordinating and submitting School Attendance Review Board referrals. Participate in in-service training related to student attendance and welfare. Enforce district rules and regulations related to school attendance. Education/Experience Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience working with children in an educational setting. Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and the community. Knowledge of laws and regulations related to child welfare and attendance at district, state, and federal levels. Knowledge And Abilities Knowledge of youth programs, school, and community activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Familiarity with office procedures and equipment. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to work well with the community, including parents and students. Effective communication in English, both orally and in writing, with proper grammar and vocabulary. Problem-solving skills.
