Job Description

It is the responsibility of the Usher to assist Entertainment Manager in seating and service of guests attending shows at Golden Nugget. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity). 

• Set up showroom and align tables and chairs based on particular show floor plan and manager’s requirements, includes adding and removal of tables and chairs.
• Set up and removal of ropes and stanchions for VIP guests and regular guests to include placing of appropriate signage at the entrance to the showroom.
• Handle all table set ups, including letters, numbers and reserve signs.
• Be knowledgeable in all aspects of show, ticket and general hotel information.
• Handle phone inquiries and work with Ticket Office representatives.
• Report areas in need of repair and maintenance.
• Responsible for greeting guests and assigning guest seating.
• Notify manager and assist in handling guest/employee incidents and/or accidents.
• Handle service requirements and guest relation problems. Assist manager with all guest relation functions.
• Responsible for ticket stubs, guest head count and reconciliation of counts between ushers, servers and cashiers.
• Responsible for clearing room and assisting guests depart after show.
• Help with room clean up and restoration.
• Contact PAD for general showroom cleaning.

• Prior experience related to beverage service and guest relations.
• Must have good people skills and a well-groomed appearance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
• High school diploma.
