Job Summary:

• 2+ years professional experience as a User Experience Designer
• Having a portfolio (applicants without a portfolio will not be considered!).
• Strong problem-solving and conceptual development ability.
• Bachelor’s degree or certificate in HCI, design or equivalent.
• Experience with web and mobile technology.
• Modern software design tools experience such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Invision, or similar.

The UX Designer II will help contribute to software design solutions by understanding user needs in a variety of enterprise spaces and creating innovative concepts to solve those challenges. The designer will integrate with cross-functional teams across all parts of Zebra’s business, practicing design thinking and evangelizing a human-centered design approach to ensure Zebra’s solutions offer a best-in-class experience for our customers.

The designer will support a variety of technical deliverables ranging from information architecture, workflow diagrams, wireframes, and pixel-perfect production UI specifications. They will have an advanced understanding of production limitations around software technology and be able to clearly articulate their viewpoints when working with teams.

This is a hybrid position , requiring you to come to the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Seek out and capture user needs, customer use-cases , and create design prototypes to be validated by collaborating directly with cross-functional stakeholders (such as Product Managers, Program Managers) and senior designers.
• Support all stages of the design development process from customer research, concept development, prototyping, and execution.
• Support and present work to team members.
• Proficient understanding of interaction design, visual design, design systems, and related design skills.
• Basic understanding of mobile or web development technologies and limitations.
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Education : Bachelor’s degree or certificate in HCI, design or equivalent.
• Minimum Work Experience : 2+ years professional experience as a User Experience Designer.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong problem-solving and conceptual development ability.
• Strong understanding of web and mobile technology.
• Experience with modern software design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Invision, or similar.
• Effective oral, written, visual communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with automation systems and technology is a plus.
• Familiarity with GenAI technologies is a plus.
