Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Video Editor works within the Menards Media Production team to edit video and audio for Menards TV and radio commercials; along with other media production projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

Pre and post production of all TV and radio commercials, and in-house video/audio projects (editing, scripting, product research, coordination with videographers, vendors and merchandising staff)
Non-linear video and audio editing
Creation of motion graphics
Product research, script writing, storyboarding
Recording of voice-over audio in the studio
Manage approval workflows and make necessary changes
Export video and audio files for distribution
Collaborate with videography team members, and other Communications and merchandising teams

Skills/Requirements

Associate or Bachelor Degree in Visual Communication, Advertising or Communications; an emphasis in Videography, Broadcast or Electronic Media is recommended; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 1 year professional video editing experience (preferably Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere, After Effects, and Audition)
Digital audio editing professional experience
Experience creating titles, motion graphics, and animations
Strong knowledge of color correction and color grading techniques
Chroma-key, masking, and rotoscoping experience
Photo editing and retouching experience helpful
Thorough understanding of video formats and codecs for broadcast TV and the Web
Strong working knowledge of:

Adobe Premiere, Audition, After Effects
Microsoft Office

Must be hardworking; a self-motivator
Must be accurate and have a good eye for details
Advertising copywriting experience desired
Good communication and organization skills required
Must be CREATIVE!
Must work within designated normal office hours - Monday-Friday, 40-45 hours/week 45+ when projects dictate - at the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI (remote work is not offered)
