Role Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to join our team. This is a full-time onsite role within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) . The Senior Construction Inspector will lead field inspections, ensure compliance with contract specifications, and oversee quality control and construction management activities related to road and highway projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough site inspections and monitor construction activities
• Ensure compliance with MTO and municipal standards, specifications, and contract documents
• Oversee quality control procedures for materials, especially in asphalt paving and concrete operations
• Provide accurate, detailed daily reports and photographic documentation
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients to resolve site issues
• Assist in measuring and verifying quantities for payment
• Ensure health and safety compliance on-site

Qualifications

• Must be certified as RCSI (Road Construction Senior Inspector) , EIT , or P.Eng. in Ontario
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction inspection, preferably on MTO projects
• Proven knowledge of asphalt and concrete construction methods and QA/QC processes
• Strong understanding of OPS/OPSS, MTO specs, and contract administration procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and construction reporting software
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site travel
