Job Title: Sourcing Specialist

Location: 17619 Aldine Westfield Road, Houston TX 77073

Work Arrangement: Mondays – Fridays 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Hybrid)

Contract Type: Contract-to-perm

Salary Range: $32–$35/hour



Job Overview
The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for managing procurement operations, supplier relationships, and purchase order execution. This role supports a global team of 14 buyers and operates within a fast-paced industrial energy technology environment.



Key Responsibilities

• Place and follow up on purchase orders (POs)
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely PO execution
• Resolve issues related to scheduling and order fulfilment
• Update ERP systems with procurement data
• Propose improvements to sourcing methods and processes
• Communicate with internal teams and suppliers regarding procurement activities
• Contribute to team projects with short-term goals (1–3 months)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Experience with high volumes of Purchase Order Requests (PORs)
• Familiarity with blanket purchase order agreements
• Ability to manage full procurement cycle, including invoice clearance
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of sourcing experience
• Preferred experience with Oracle Pascal and Oracle Oscar
• Industry experience in industrial energy technology is a plus
