Spa Attendant (Shipboard)Department: Spa & Wellness

Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract

Reporting To: Assistant Spa Manager

Description

The Spa & Wellness Attendant ensures the successful service delivery of the Gold Standards, upholding its world-renowned brand reputation whilst creating a positive and memorable guest experience.The Spa & Wellness Attendant will typically work in a fast-paced environment where they must multitask on a regular basis. Tasks include with greeting guests as they arrive, explaining the various facilities, treatments and services that are available, helping them get settled into the spa environment to create a seamless journey.

Provide general spa orientation to guests upon arrival, such as the location and use of locker rooms, lounge areas, and hospitality stations. ; Offer guests amenities such as water, juice, or heated neck pillows. ; Answer questions about general property information and amenities.; Escort guests to and from treatment rooms. Check computer for updates and changes to schedule regularly throughout the day. ; Maintain cleanliness of workstation, treatment rooms, spa/salon locker room, and lounge areas. ; Dispose of trash and dirty linens in the proper area. ; Secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift. ; Stock towels, linens, supplies, and amenities in the locker room, lounge areas, and hospitality stations.; Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.; Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; protect company assets. ; Anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. ; Speak with others using clear and professional language. ; Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. ; Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. ; Reach, bend, twist, pull, and stoop; move, lift, or carry objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.; Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.; Qualifications

Valid Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) and flag certification for the duration of the contract and appropriate to position; Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as a Spa Attendant in a luxury facility; Superior knowledge and experience in Spa and Luxury hotels and/or luxury cruise industry preferred; Strong, primary focus on health and wellness with the ability to recommend and confidently talk about guest requirements; Exceptional customer service and communication skills, friendly and approachable. ; Excellent team player ; Sales experience and a luxury approach to sales ;

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The Lady or Gentleman must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.; All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.; All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be able to communicate in the English language in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers.;
