About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Development to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the engagement of donors and organizations, with a focus on in-person interactions, including principal and major donors. This role involves developing and maintaining effective relationships on behalf of the Chief Development Officer, setting and managing strategies for donor cultivation, and providing direction to direct reports. The Vice President of Development will also be involved in stewarding existing donor relationships, managing a portfolio of major gift donors, and making qualification calls to various entities for the purpose of fostering relationships that lead to donations. Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have an in-depth understanding of project and program management, a Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred), and a minimum of 15 years' prior related experience. The role requires proficiency in donor development, fundraising, and public relations, as well as the ability to plan and report budgets. The ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to travel domestically and internationally, and a proven track record of providing program management and business strategy.
