14077 - Wind Electrical Engineer / WTG Engineer (onsite, remote option, travel up to 20%) – Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 40 hours in office or remote. Travel 20% (24 states, travel could be to anywhere of the 24)

Required:
• Hands-on experience with generators/motors, industrial plants, troubleshooting, testing
• Wind generation experience
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
• Repair facilities, previous power plant experience
• Motors/generators experience
• Experience supporting wind turbine operations and maintenance, focusing on electrical systems up to 690VAC/230VDC;
• Experience pitching systems, motors, drives, and power electronics.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and Improve Generator Equipment: Support the operation and maintenance of large motor/generator systems across a fleet of 14,000+ wind turbines throughout North America;
• Receiving failure reports and determining appropriate troubleshooting/repairing plan, talking on the phone with field techs on the issues, how they were testing/troubleshooting, etc
• Oversee Motors, Drives, and Power Electronics: Evaluate, troubleshoot, and support repair or replacement of pitching systems, motors, drives, and related power electronics to ensure optimal performance;
• If there's a failure, engineer would be receiving service request (like a ticket) and engineer would be working on getting in touch and determining the right troubleshooting/repairing plan
• Prepare and review documentation, reports, and deliverables for accuracy and completeness;
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards;
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
